High efficiency slim DIN Rail power supplies offer redundancy module option (July 15)

XP Power today announced the DSA series of three ultra slim DIN rail industrial AC-DC power supplies and the complementary DSA-DP20 ORing redundancy module. The highly efficient DSA series comprises the 150 Watt DSA150, the 240 Watt DSA240 and the 480 Watt DSA480. With a single output of either 24 or 48 VDC the range is aimed at industrial type applications, such as process control and building automation, where the space used by the power supply on the DIN rail needs to be minimised. A voltage trim function provides adjustment of the stated nominal output by +/-5%.

XP Power leads the industry with 95% efficient 225 Watt AC-DC supply in a 2” x 4” package (June 15)

XP Power today announced the EPL225 series of high efficiency open frame AC-DC power supplies approved for industrial, IT and medical applications. The series comprises seven single-output models that offer a range of standard output voltages from +12 VDC to +48 VDC. A secondary 12 VDC / 0.5 A fan output is provided across the range. Packaged in an extremely compact low profile 2 x 4 inch industry standard ‘1U’ footprint (50.8 x 101.6 x 32.3 mm) the series has a convection cooled output power rating of 150 Watts which is believed to be “best in the industry” for a power supply of this footprint. Output power of up to 225 Watts is available with only 10 CFM of forced airflow.

6 Watt DC-DC converters offer an extra wide 4:1 input range in a compact SIP package (June 15)

XP Power today announced the ITQ series of 6 Watt DC-DC converters. Packaged in a compact SIP 8-pin format, with a footprint measuring just 21.9 x 11.1 x 9.2mm, the ITQ series takes up less board space, giving designers more room to add features or the ability to reduce end product size. The converter delivers a power density of up to 44 Watts per cubic inch and is highly efficient, typically 87%, making it well suited to modern green standard end products. The high efficiency means the ITQ produces less wasted heat and does not require forced airflow or heatsinking for cooling. The fully regulated single and dual output models accept a wide 4:1 input voltage range of 9-36 VDC or 18-75 VDC. Single output models provide standard +3.3, +5, +9, +12, +15, +24 VDC and duals +/-5, +/-12 or +/-15 VDC.
